As a member the American Heart Association’s Sweethearts Program I have a goal is to raise $1000 in support research and education as a part of our mission to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Please help me in my efforts to support this cause and giving back to the community and get behind a great cause. Thank you for your support of the American Heart Association!
The Sweethearts Program is an opportunity for sophomore-aged girls to develop a commitment to heart health, community service and leadership.
The program is designed to introduce young ladies to community service and the importance of learning about the prevalence and prevention of cardiovascular disease. The participants of this program will learn community service by participating in a series of planned activities, fundraising to support the research for heart disease and acquiring volunteer hours through different events. They will also be trained in CPR and learn other very important heart health related information.
After successfully completing the seven month program, the participants will be presented at the 2012 Heart Ball on Saturday, May 12, 2012 to highlight their participation and experience in the program.
