In preparation for some sunnier days, the normal “black tie” dress code has been given a makeover. Men and women are encouraged to come in their best “South Hampton” attire. This means evening jackets or seersucker suits for the gentlemen. And ladies should shop for understated elegant gowns or graceful cocktail dresses.

This year’s Sweethearts Program is honored to have 30 Sophomore High School ladies and is designed to introduce them to community service and the importance of learning about the prevalence and prevention of cardiovascular disease. The participants learn the importance community service by participating in a series of planned activities, fundraising to support the research for heart disease and acquiring volunteer hours. They will also be trained in CPR Anytime and learn other very important heart health related information. The Sweethearts Program runs from August through May and the participants are highlighted during the Heart Ball in May.
